What are your opinions on feather hair extensions?

I have them...my friends mom did it for me and i love them.they aren't really extentions...i got 2 on the side of my head where my bangs on and she used beads to put them it...they don't make me look like a bird i got really skinny ones but i got a color that contrasts my hair.(:
