How to kid proof my porch/veranda?

i stay 2up in a close and have a veranda/porch and im looking for something to stop my kids climbing over and falling to their deaths the height of the wall is approx 3 foot with a bar on top i think theres a thing that u clip onto the bar and so gives you veranda more height
